"In Georgian Bay, where I had a summer home, there's an old motto that goes. "You'd better be ready for anything to occur when you turn towards the Painted Waters". In this painting, our patient fisherman drifts off for a nap in the warm afternoon sunlight, while waiting for that lucky strike. Suddenly a swirl of movement in the water below catches the attention of our cat and dog who, in true animal fashion, spend their days anticipating nature's next surprise."
