"In November, 1881, the Steamship Jane Miller was sailing toward Wiarton in a blinding snowstorm on Georgian Bay with a full cargo and 28 people on board. She was last seen just off Cameron's Point when she suddenly disappeared. It was assumed that she rolled over and sank. Evidence of the wreck was found on White Cloud Island. A large oil slick and bubbles rising from the depths were seen but the ship was never located.
Twenty-five years later, hunters on White Cloud Island heard cries for help over the black waters on a chilly night. The following morning they passed over an oil slick bubbling to the surface where the Jane Miller sank. The painting depicts the ship where she was last seen near Cameron's Poin on her journey 'Sailing Through Time'."
