"This painting was inspired by my close relationship with my grandfather, (first name) Mackenzie. I suppose I was like most boys at this time. On a warm summer's day fishing was very much on a young boy's mind. His grandfather looks over his shoulder with pride in his heart. How his grandson has grown! The passage of time hasn’t dimmed the affection between grandfather and grandson. The work is my tribute to the wonderful kinship I once knew, and shared with many."
