"Through the years each generation has produced a star that is or was outstanding in the game of hockey. Many remember when Paul Henderson scored the winning goal against Russia. In every era people like Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky and now Sidney Crosby along with many other players have contributed to making hockey the great game that it is. It was a magic moment when Crosby scored the winning goal against the USA in the 2010 Olympics. They were worthy competitors who made winning the gold for Canada all the more rewarding. The institution of hockey lives in the hearts of all who enjoy the game."
